Our Story: Born out of Frustration
KickKit was founded by Luis Vento, a book lover who was tired of flimsy, cookie-cutter shelves. After struggling with wobbly particleboard units and static designs, they worked with industrial designers and minimalist architects to design a better solution – a modular, tool-free bookshelf system that was both stylish and sturdy.
After 4 years of prototyping, we developed the KickLock™ mounting system, which lets you reconfigure your shelves in seconds without drilling or hardware. Whether you’re a renter, a minimalist, or a collector, KickKit adapts to your space, style, and storage needs.
